Competition Intelligence Analyst

Our group was founded in 2007 in Las Vegas, NV, USA, and has been growing very fast from the beginning. We currently have offices in the U.S, Bulgaria, and the Philippines and employ 700 people worldwide. Our ambition is to continue our growth in our industry but also to step in a new industry.

In order to investigate the market situation of that industry, we are looking for a Competition Intelligence Analyst who will be responsible for actively investigating, organizing, analyzing and communicating relevant intelligence on the activities, capabilities and strategies of organizations in the market.

The role requires intellectual curiosity to develop keen insights into the capabilities of competing companies who aim to serve the same markets.

Key Role and Responsibilities

Perform in-depth competitive analysis of other firms’ product offerings, including collecting competitive collateral, information on capabilities/strategy and offering guidance on proper positioning to effectively develop and differentiate our offerings vis a vis all major and emerging players in the designated market,
Conduct extensive research on potential clients using electronic, print and Web sources to prepare staff for business expansion opportunities,
Provide objective, in-depth information about current and future markets and competitive forces,
Provide expertise in current and future competitive drivers in the marketplace,
Leverage internal and external data to identify opportunities for business expansion,
Communicate results of research and analysis through written reports and verbal communication,
Identify market trends, industry developments, client movements and other relevant client news to provide actionable business information to departments, practice groups and firm management,
Collect, interpret and communicate industry, competitive and market trends from primary and secondary sources with minimal supervision and develop actionable analysis and recommendations based on research,
Assist management with developing a highly functioning competitive intelligence research and business analysis group by contributing ideas, suggestions, and using information and tools not typically found in a firm operating in that industry,

Requirements

Advanced research skills across a variety of media, with an emphasis on online research,
Ability to quickly develop proficiency in new information resources. Experience with corporate databases such as Westlaw, Capital IQ, D&B, OneSource, Bloomberg Law, MonitorSuite, Intelligize and Hoovers a plus,
Ability to conduct large scale, complex competitive analysis projects, applying expert analytical methodologies to deliver insight into market forces and dynamics,
Ability to synthesize relevant information needed for high-level and business development decision-making, and ability to succinctly communicate research findings in a clear and concise manner, with an emphasis on written communication.,

Education / Experience

Requires bachelor degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field,
Requires a minimum of three (3) years experience in strategic analysis, competitive/market intelligence and/or data analysis.

Skills / Abilities

Solid interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required,
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of audiences, including executives, product managers, product developers and client-facing teams,
Self-motivated, highly organized individual with strong attention to detail,
A plus: fluency in any common non-English world business language.
